BlackRock Rents New Office

BlackRock, a fund manager company, has taken 290,000 sq ft of office space in Drapers Gardens on lease at the rate of £49 per square foot. Rockspring Kicks Off Major Run of Acquisitions

The second property acquired by Rockspring is a 50% holding in 40, Grosvenor Place, London SW1. The stake has been taken over from Invista Real Estate Investment Management clients at a rate of £84 million. The other half of the partnership is owned by the Grosvenor London Office Fund.

The building is located in the central area of Victoria and has six floors of shared offices housing companies like Bluecrest, EDF Energy, LEK Consulting and Capital International. Rentals for the year amount to around £12 million total.

Both these acquisitions are on behalf of the National Pension Service of Korea investment fund, which Rockspring recently acquired as a client.
