ISearch by Intelius Named Finalist for CODiE Award
Intelius’ iSearch, an online people lookup tool provided to Internet users, has been nominated as a finalist for the 24th Annual CODiE Awards last March 2009.
The Software and Information Industry Association, an American trade association for the software and digital content industry whose activities include business development and intellectual property protection, conducts the event annually. Founded in 1984 as the Software Publishers Association, it later merged with the Information Industry Association in 1999 to form the SIIA as we know it today.
Since its first awards ceremony, the CODiE Awards program makes it a point to showcase the best products the software and information industry has to offer. The sole peer-recognition awards of the software industry, the CODiE Awards also pays tribute to corporate achievement and philanthropy - and it just so happens that Naveen Jain’s Intellius, famous for its achievements and philanthropic endeavors, fits the bill perfectly.
“We’re honored the CODiE judges recognize the niche this product fills in the directory and people search space,” said the India-born founder and CEO Naveen Jain regarding the prospect of winning yet another award. Based in the United States since the late 70s, Naveen Jain has an impressive track record, having worked as a Microsoft executive prior to founding InfoSpace, and more recently, Intelius Inc.
Likewise, prior to this year’s nomination, Intelius, like its founder Naveen Jain, has already boasted a winning streak, having ranked number two in HRO Today’s Top Screening Providers for 2008, as well as being 127th on Deloitte’s 2008 list of Fastest Growing tech Companies in North America. Also, in 2007, Intellius was named one of Washington State’s top three Best Workplaces by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
