Everyone Has Been Hurt ….Part 6

Continued….

I have since grown a lot. I have grown through God’s help and Jesus’s love. My sister and my dad made up. My dad lived the rest of his life alone to punish himself for all he had done. He suffered for everything he did, and he made himself. He was alone a lot. When my sister forgave him, I forgave him and we all let it go. His last years were a little happier because of it, he went to church he became involved in our lives and he did all he could to make amends in anyway possible. He is gone now and I miss him and I miss all those years. He never once laid one hand on me, but I couldn’t forgive until she did. He always came to special occasions and was always there when it mattered even though he knew he wasn’t welcome most of the time, he put every effort in to changing his relationship with each of is. I could always see the sadness and hurt in his eyes that shame and guilt. It was so sad.

The neighbor I dated became a city cop and is now a fireman, he is married with three kids and he is happy as far as I know. By the way it wasn’t the ex he married, go figure The guy I got in so much trouble with, joined the Navy, we eventually made up and after not talking for years I called his mom one day he called me directly back we said our apologies, a week later he was coming home and fell asleep at the wheel and was killed, in a car wreck. Most of the other guys I am friends with. The next guy told one of my friends how sorry he was for how he treated me and he knew he had done so many things wrong and he hoped I didn’t hate him. I don’t.

My ex husband? We are still working on a few issues at this time but it is coming along the best it can, considering. We do the best we can for Dakota and he deserves that so much. My oldest sister, was married but then divorced, she is now remarried and very happy in her life I believe. My youngest sister was married then divorced, she had a son, and is now living with a man she met about a year ago and is happier than she has ever been. My brother is married and has two girls and he is happy with his life. My grandma passed away a few years ago and everyone misses her, my grandpa we are still close and he is as he always has been. I think I had disappointed him at times but my mom says he is proud even if I don’t see it.

As for me, I have grown up. I still make mistakes, I am my worst critic. I am finally happy, I truly am. I have cried a lot especially in the past few years but it is my way of letting go. For someone who could never shed a tear in the past, I have come a long way. I release it with every single tear I shed. It has been a long time coming and I feel now, I finally learned to feel. The best is yet for me to come .I can see it in the not to distant future. I have lived and loved and learned. With Gods help I will go far..

I have been physically battered and beaten, I have been emotionally drained an definitely affected. I really never had anything to offer anyone but myself, I have given of that freely at times. Every person who has been apart of my life has taken a piece of me with them. Noone ever touched my spirit though. I’m now free of the past, my heart is now healed and now I can give it all. Why am I so optimistic, because I have finally found God and I have finally found Jesus, they have always been with me and nobody can ever take that away. Someday I am going to be somebody, someday I am going to be somebody I am proud of. Thanks for listening.

This was the start of my healing one of the first things I ever wrote, now you can look back at the rest of the articles and see where my faith in God led me, I am not this person anymore I haven’t been for some time, see how far I have come, it all happened from “keeping the faith”… thanks… God bless each and everyone of you and all who have entered my life.

Kodak CX7300 Digital Camera

Filed under: Photography Info — @ 5:17 am

Quality digital cameras are becoming affordable for just about everyone these days. Kodak’s entry into the low cost end of the market is their CX7300 3.2 mega pixel model. You just may be surprised at what a terrific value it is. Please read on.

As recently as two years ago, if you were shopping for a 3.0 mega pixel or greater camera, you would have paid approximately $249. for one. Today, prices have tumbled and it isn’t uncommon to find cameras in this category going for $150 or less. Recents sale prices I have observed have brought this price down further with one retailer selling the Kodak CX7300 for just under $100.

As you may know a 3.0 meg camera is ideal if you are taking pictures to post online. Anything greater isn’t necessary, so there is no need to expend the extra bucks for a 5.0, 6.0, or even 7.0 meg camera.

This particular Kodak model is no bare bones model either. Top features include:

3.2 million pixels

3x digital zoom

1.6″ color display

Red eye reduction

Self timer

Color modes

Multiple scene modes

Movie mode

16 MB internal memory

Easy Share software

The CX7300 is easy to use and picture quality is very good. Kodak also markets this model camera as a C300, so shop around and see what your retailer is offering.

Microsoft Great Plains Data Conversion - Overview For Developer

Filed under: Software Infos — @ 2:24 am

Looks like Microsoft Great Plains becomes more and more popular, partly because of Microsoft muscles behind it. Now it is targeted to the whole spectrum of horizontal and vertical market clientele. Small companies use Small Business Manager (which is based on the same technology - Great Plains Dexterity dictionary and runtime), Great Plains Standard on MSDE is for small to midsize clients, and then Great Plains serves the rest of the market up to big corporations.

If you are developer who is asked: how do we convert our old system data for initial Great Plains setup - read this and you will have the clues on where to look further.

Great Plains Integration Manager - this is rather end-user tool - it is very intuitive, it validates 100% of business logic, brings in/updates master records (accounts, employees, customers, vendors. etc.) brings in transactions into work tables. The limitation of Integration Manager - it does use GP windows behind the scenes without showing them - so it is relatively slow - you can bring 100 records for ongoing integration - for one-time conversion/integration you are probably OK with IM. By the way you can program Integration Manager with VBA.

eConnect - it is type of Software Development Kit with samples in VB.Net. Obviously the development environment should be Visual Studio.Net. eConnect will allow you to integrate master records - such as new customers, vendors, employees, etc., plus you can bring transactions into so called Great Plains work tables (eConnect doesn’t allow you to bring open or historical records - you need to post work records in Great Plains, the same limitation applies to Integration Manager above). eConnect is rather for ongoing integration. It was initially created for eCommerce application integration to Great Plains.

SQL Stored Procedures. Obviously you have unlimited control and possibilities with SQL queries. You need to know Great Plains tables structure and data flow. Launch Great Plains and go to Tools->Resource Description->Tables. Find the table in the proper series. If you are looking for the customers - it should be RM00101 - customer master file. If you need historical Sales Order Processing documents - they are in SOP30200 - Sales History Header file, etc. Do not change existing tables - do not create new fields, etc. Also you need to realize that each GP table has DEX_ROW_ID - identity column. For ongoing integrations - sometimes it is good idea to use inbound/outbound XML in the parameters - then you can deploy web service as a middle party between two systems.

Data Transformation Services (DTS) - Good tool for importing your third party data into staging tables in GP - then you can pull them in using either stored procs of Integration Manager. You can also deploy this tool for EDI export/import.

Great Plains Dexterity Conversion Utilities. If your legacy data sits in old Dexterity customization on Ctree/Pervasice.SQL/Btrieve - you can create custom Dexterity conversion utility, which will read the table in Ctree/Btrieve and will move it to SQL based new custom Dexterity table. In this scenario - you need Dexterity customization upgrade as well. (Great Plains Dexterity - is programming language and technology of former Great Plains Software - Microsoft Great Plains is written in Dexterity)

MS Access - if you are doing one time conversion and your legacy has old ODBC compliant platform - you can use MS Access to create linked tables there - or import into MS Access.

SQL Linked Servers - you can do direct SQL queries to other ODBC compliant platform via SQL Linked Server (including ORACLE, UNIDATA, Pervasive SQL, Ctree, etc) - you may need to familiarize yourself with OPENROWSET command in Transact SQL. This is also good option if you need cross-platform Crystal Report - pulling data from SQL Server and third party databases on the same report.

MS Excel - yes - sometime you can use it for legacy data massage before feeding it into Great Plains.

Warning - do not place existing GP tables into Replication! - you will have upgrade issues.

Happy converting! if you want us to do the job - give us a call!

Ski Bargains Are to Be Booked because of the Crunch

Filed under: Living + Recreation, Travel Parlor — @ 2:32 am

The pound is fetching only slightly more than the Euro at Travelex, one would guess there would be a lot of good ski deals to be had in skiing resorts this season as potential skiers stay in the UK to avoid the financial crisis. Initial facts recently released highlight that skiing areas are 82 percent booked over the New year and Christmas time period. 13 % up on the self same period in 2007.

You’ll probably have some luck in early 2009 that currently shows a 33 percent booking rate. Signs of a downturn is during the significant school skiing holiday month that has 60 % bookings, 4 percent less than last ski season. Information centres in the ski areas of Montgenevre, Portes du Soleil, Portes du Soleil and Luz Ardiden have seen heavy demand during December boosted by the excellent early on winter season snows. Auron has higher inquiries in comparison to a year ago, and Les Arcs had an excellent Christmas.

But there is strong demand for a larger catered chalet, 6 to 9 places, as skiers group together to save. Evidence shows that DIY skiing breaks are holding up well, evidence perhaps that keen boarders are not going to sacrifice their trip to the mountains. Bookings for package holidays are down.

About Self Love

1. How do I love myself?

2. How can I feel like I don’t need approval and validation from anyone else anymore?

3. Why is it so hard for me to love myself?

4. What can I do to really feel happy inside?

5. Why is it so hard for me to take a compliment?

6. How can I know if someone loves me for who I am?

THE ANSWERS

1. How do I love myself?

Love of Self is simply a view of Self. If you view yourself with a great deal of compassion, and suspend all judgment, then replace that judgment with understanding, and compassion, you will come closer and closer to love your authentic self.
So many people have taken on the views of others during their earlier years, and have not learned how to replace those views with the pure truth.

The way to do this is to immediately stop insulting yourself, cutting yourself down, and degrading yourself.
This is paramount! Instead of saying: “I stink at this” say: “I am doing my best, and that is all that is needed.”
You have to bring all of the small insulting lies that you tell yourself up to your conscious awareness.

Once you NOTICE what you are actually telling yourself, and if it is degrading, simply notice it without any judgment whatsoever, and then replace it with something more compassionate and understanding.

Speak to yourself the way you would to someone that you have great respect for.

Love for Self, and love for any other person comes from our views and perceptions. It is all within the mind. Our mind is governed by our thoughts. Our thoughts create our feelings. Our feelings urge us into action, and the cycle continues.

So in order to truly love yourself, you must change how you view yourself, and that can only be with complete compassion, care, respect, and honestly taking a conscious effort to change the verbal abuse you dish out to yourself when you are not even aware of it most of the time.

People that love themselves do NOT degrade themselves. I wouldn’t dare degrade YOU, so please immediately stop degrading yourself, and come to embrace your unique qualities. You chose those qualities and attributes for your unique contribution in this world.

Honor what makes you “different” because that is your unique Light that you are on this Earth to shine!
Treat yourself the way you wish someone else would treat you, and always give yourself a heartfelt hug for the sacred person that you are.

2. How can I feel like I don’t need approval and validation from anyone else anymore?

If you are going to base your sense of self worth on the changing views and perceptions of others, then it is like building a house on shifting sand.

Every person has the right to their own views and perceptions, and no one has the right to judge you.

It is solely your view of self that matters, because only you can live your truth!

You know what feels true for you inside and what does not. Another person cannot ever live your truth, or tell you what is true for you.

Once you start to honor what feels true for you in your heart, and simply go for it without even speaking about it to anyone else, you will come to feel a great measure of inner confidence that grows each time you honor what feels right to you in your heart - not your head, or your fears, but in your heart.

It takes practice, like anything else, and once you get used to honoring and following your own inner truth, you will no longer feel the need to receive validation and approval from anyone, ever.

3. Why is it so hard for me to love myself?

It is hard because no one ever taught you how to honor yourself, your preferences, your talents, abilities, strengths, inner gifts, and areas of self expression that are uniquely yours.
So if you were never taught how to do something, why are you being so hard on yourself?

Now, all you really need to do - which is actually quite simple, is to tell yourself every good quality you have on the inside in front of the mirror, each day, based on your observable actions.
Begin a dialogue to become friends with the person you see every day.

So if you fed your pet, that is being caring. If you called a friend that is going through a hard time - that is being compassionate. If you went to work so you can pay your bills - that is being responsible.

So you are to walk up to that face in the mirror, and as hard as it will be for your ego to do this dialogue, what will happen is that you are slowly, day by day, going to become your own best friend. You are going to feel more self-appreciation. You are going to feel more care for yourself. This mirror process truly works! I have taught it to countless people over the last decade, and I also had to go through it myself for over two years, every day, to chip away at the lies I was told growing up, and replace it with authentic truth, based on my observable actions, so my big ego would actually believe me.

Trust that there will be fierce resistance to this from your ego in the beginning. I actually cursed at myself my first time in front of the mirror over a decade ago. I wouldn’t dare curse at myself now!

I can attest that every single person I teach this to, and share this with, now loves themselves genuinely. The ego is melting away, along with the self-degrading lies.

If you really want to love yourself, the old beliefs must be transformed. It is like cleaning out an inner closet with an old belief system, and replacing it with authentic truth.
No one can give this to you but you.

No one can love you and make you feel lovable.
You have to know and believe you are lovable.

This is just one technique that cost nothing, and brings about astounding change every single time.

You have to also realize that it is your responsibility to learn how to appreciate yourself, no matter what circumstances are facing you, and never seek to validate yourself from the outside in, because you can only be validated from the inside out. This will get you there a LOT faster than anything I have ever come across.

4. What can I do to really feel happy inside?

First, do the mirror technique that I outlined above twice a day, for two years.

Then, imagine that you have a clean slate before you - called your life - and that there was a guarantee that if you followed your truth, you could NOT FAIL.

What do you really want to do with your days and nights? If you had twelve million dollars in the bank, and you already owned every THING that you have ever wanted to own, what would you love to do so much that you would do it for free?

What are the natural talents and abilities that you have? What are you naturally good at? What makes you feel so alive?

These are the questions that you have to ask yourself, so that you can get to the core of who you are on the inside, and then you will be able to live it, and love every minute of it on the outside.

The only things that make me feel happy are when I am with my children, when I am giving my private consultations and intensives, writing (this for you : )) working (in absolute JOY) on inspire! magazine, going out in nature, doing my hobbies, really enjoying the night sky, or a sunset - they are simple pleasures. Being with friends and laughing - that’s something we could all use more of! Bringing through information from Divine Source in my writings - I love every minute of it! I love to travel (sometimes) and there is so much in life that I love. So I create time to do it all during my days and nights.

I had to CREATE my life, no one gave it to me.

You have to create the life of your dreams, based solely on what you love, and on how you can serve from your heart so that you are really making a difference.

For me, personally, there is no greater joy than when I am making a difference - that’s why I love the work (joy) that I do so much!

Many times I am volunteering and do NOT get paid for my work - like right now. And I still love it just as much as if I was paid ten thousand dollars for the few hours it takes to put this together.

You came into this life for a purpose. The key is to find out what that purpose is, so you CAN move in that direction, and live your life in-joy!

It is then that you will be doing everything that will make you happy, because you will be living from the inside out, rather than looking for an answer from the outside in.

5. Why is it so hard for me to take a compliment?

Probably because you are so used to taking insults. I was there too! If someone complimented me I would say: “Oh, that’s not true.” Because what I really wanted was more validation. I then learned a simple technique that actually changed that. I learned to simply say Thank You.

For the first dozen or so compliments, it was really hard for me to do that. Then, I began to feel more comfortable accepting a compliment.

NOW, I learned NOT to take a compliment seriously at ALL - because it is based solely and completely on the views of another person, and what is in their mind - which has nothing to do with me!

Additionally, I don’t take an insult personally either - how freeing!

I can be completely open to constructive critique, such as when I’m working on a project, however, I no longer take it into the core of my being like I used to.

Just say “Thank You” when someone compliments you, and should anyone ever insult you, just know that it is coming from their own perceptions, and never take it seriously.

Moreover, people do like to express their views. So if someone does share their views with you, just know that they are entitled to them, and maintain your own view of self with a lot of loving compassion, and zero self-judgment - that is the key!

6. How can I know if someone loves me for who I am?

By your keen instincts, the subtle things you pick up on, and really being honest with yourself. Perhaps someone adores you and you may not feel worthy of that. So you may doubt that anyone can really love you for you.

When you really love and value yourself, in a genuine way - without all of the ego, you will come to trust your feelings and perceptions. You will instinctually “know” if someone is for real or not. The trick here is are you being real with yourself, or are you playing games with yourself, and not following your own truth?

We tend to doubt others when we doubt ourselves. We also pick up on the authentic feelings other people have for us when we are being authentic with ourselves.

Trust your feelings, and get your head out of the way. Move more into your heart center and dare to expose how you really feel - even if it just to yourself. You will find that when you are completely honest with yourself, and the feelings in your heart, you can then learn to trust what you are picking up from other people. You will trust yourself, and you will be able to follow what feels true for you. You will also know if someone really does or does not love you - you will know - once you come to know and honor what you feel inside fully.

Transfer The Digital Camera Images To Your Computer

Filed under: Photography Info — @ 7:22 am

There are a few very important tasks associated with using the digital camera. The most important is of course capturing a beautiful photograph. The next most important task is that of transferring this image somewhere from where it can be printed. The most suitable place is hence the computer. Now, here comes another area of importance that needs to be analyzed and sufficient knowledge is required to be imparted to the users to make ample use of such an important feature. This discussion is thus generally focused upon this mechanism to transfer the digital camera images to the computer, and the various types of such a transfer. Looking from a very simple point of view, there are two methods for transferring the digital camera images to the computer; they are firstly by attaching the digital camera directly to the computer (a process that is popularly called tethering) and secondly by the use of a memory card reader.

In the present world most digital cameras are endowed with arrangements for a comparatively nippy USB connection. USB is basically an interface between a computer and peripheral devices like keyboards, telephones, scanners, and printers. In the current case this peripheral device is the digital camera. This USB feature enables the computer to be directly connected to the digital camera and transfer the images via the USB port present in the computer itself also. Many of the computer operating systems (like the Windows XP) have features for in-built tethering support for this purpose solely. One major problem of this feature of tethering is that it consumes a huge amount of power from the batteries. For this reason, many of the digital cameras are provided with AC adapter that powers the camera. The appropriate software installed within the computer and the digital cameras provides the entire task for making a successful transfer of the images from the digital camera to the computer.

Regarding the software associated with such a digital image transfer from a digital camera to a computer, it is important to state that digital cameras come equipped with CDs containing driver files, image viewers and photo editing software. It connects to the computer via a USB or other port. Some digital cameras come with a PCMCIA interface also.

The next feature for making a successful transfer of image from the digital camera to the computer is via memory card readers. These memory card readers make image transfers without consuming a lot of the precious digital camera batteries; this is the best part of this method. Two important points define the memory card readers; the first is the type of memory card the digital camera uses for storing images. Secondly, the type of connection the digital camera has with the computer. USB is the most predominant kind of card reader available in today’s world. In some cases, many computers are equipped with certain slots that take in cards directly inside the computer or may be with the help of a PC card adapter too. Then the transfers of images are made appropriately from the digital camera into the computer memory efficiently.

All the features and the technology discussed in the above lines are focused towards uncovering the various efficient and suitable methods for a better transfer method of the images and photographs from the digital camera into the computer memory. As technology advances with years, these would get further improved and the popularity and flexibility of this fantastic device, the digital camera, would get even more all the rage!
